My Journey Here

I started my business back in 2018 while I was still in college with just a camera, a YouTube channel, and a passion for storytelling as a first-gen Black engineering student. In just a few months, I built an audience of nearly 1,000 subscribers and was on track to monetize. But like many students balancing survival with dreams, burnout hit hard. I was working 40-hour weeks, taking engineering courses, running a business, and trying to stay mentally afloat while keeping my struggle hidden from my family. I failed a class for the first time and was placed on academic probation. That shook me. Then, I lost my older brother (my father figure) to the legal system. It felt like everything came to a standstill.

But I made a promise to my grandmother that I’d graduate and I was determined to keep that promise.

​

I pivoted to the business communications major, fell in love with the marketing side of things, and worked my way up to become the general manager of a $1.4 million company. That’s when everything clicked. I took what I learned in business and school and launched my own marketing agency: CTFL Productions. Projects started rolling in, and I finally felt aligned with my purpose — helping others build what they dreamed of.

After graduation, I was ready to create freely again. But then came the hardest chapter of my life: my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Within weeks of her diagnosis, she passed away. That loss, along with financial hits from inflation and job transitions, sent me into survival mode again. I had to pause, regroup, and rebuild.

Now, I’m back, with clarity, direction, and fire. I know what I’m here to do. And I’d be honored to help you build your brand along the way.

I give real advice, not recycled bullshit. If your brand just needs a few tweaks and not a full service, I’ll tell you that. But if you're overwhelmed and need someone to just take the reins and run your marketing like it’s my own brand?
